General guide:
The watch has five buttons (i.e. five tab actions): button A at top left, button B at top right, button C at bottom left, button D at bottom right and button L at bottom in the middle.
Note that there is a tap protection action in the middle, i.e. all other tap actions are only active after the tap protection action has been tapped.
Button A is the adjust button, button C is to cycle through the modes. Button B and D are for up and down and button L is to switch on the light (for a short period of time).
Display:
There are three round displays at the top. The left one shows the seconds in timekeeping mode or the 1/10 of a second in countdown timer and stopwatch mode. The middle top display is the watch battery level indicator. The right one is the phone battery level indicator (on the original watch that's the receiving indicator (time is radio controlled). The battery indicators work as follows: For a battery level of 67 to 100% the top segment is lit. For 34 to 66% the bottom left segment is lit and for 0 to 33% the bottom right segment is lit. If the battery level drops below 15% the bottom right segment flashes.
To see the exact battery levels, press button D in timekeeping mode.
The script has a configuration section where you can for example switch between 24/12 hour display or select your preferred color mode or date format. You can change this directly on the watch too. Try all settings and if you have found your preferred configuration, change the appropriate variables in the script (so you don't need to change the settings every time you switch the watchface)!
Detailed description:
In timekeeping mode (the default mode) press B to switch between date display and weekday display. Press D to get an alternating display of watch and phone battery level (original watch will display time and strength of last radio signal). Press D again to show step counter and press the button again to show current heart rate. Note that the configuration section of the script has a variable which can be set to false to disable the step counter and heart rate display.
Press A to go to configuration mode. Press C to cycle through the different configuration items. Press D to toggle the value of a configuration item. The following configuration items are available:
24 hour mode / 12 hour mode: in 12 hour mode PM is shown with a P top left of the time display.
2.5 / 1.5 seconds light (when button L is pressed)
Power safe on/off: Doesn't make sense on smart watch, just switches the power safe indicator on or off
Color mode: original, black, blue, green and red (doesn't exist on original watch)
Date format: 8-20 (original), 8/20, 20.8, 20-8 or 20/8
Big mode off/on: If on, the outer ring with the text is not displayed. Instead everything else is bigger.
Press button C to cycle through the different modes:
World time mode: The original watch shows the world time in 30 cities around the world. This version shows the three world times configured in Watchmaker but showing the city name the original watch would show. Press B or D to cycle through the three time zones.
Alarm mode: Press D to cycle through 4 normal alarms, one snooze alarm and the hourly signal alarms. Press B to enable / disable an alarm. Press A to change the time of an alarm (and C to switch between changing hour or minute).
Note that the four alarms and the snooze alarm are one time alarms, i.e. after the preset time there will be vibration for ten seconds and then the alarm will be disabled (that is how it works on the original watch). In case of the snooze alarm, the alarm operation is performed a total of seven times, every five minutes, or until you turn the alarm off (by tapping any tap action).
Press A again to leave adjust mode.
Countdown Timer mode: Press A to change the timer (press B and D to switch minutes between 1 and 60). Like on the original watch you can't change the seconds. Press A again to leave adjust mode. Press D to start the timer. Press D again to pause the timer and press B to reset the timer. If you leave the mode, the timer continues. If the timer reaches 0, the watch vibrates for 2 seconds (and then the time resets again). Note: that only works if watch is in bright mode when timer reaches 0. This is not possible in dim mode!
Stopwatch mode: Press D to start/pause the stopwatch. Press B to sets stopwatch to 0 again. While stopwatch runs press B for split time. Press B again to release split time. Two finishes: Start stopwatch with D. Press B when first runner finishes. Press D when second runner finishes. Press B to display time of second runner.
