One of the 12 watches, commissioned from Swiss watch companies at the end of WWII. They were classed as WWW watches. In typical army fashion this stood for Watch. Wrist. Waterproof. British watch making was not in a good state at this time so with Switzerland being neutral, it was the perfect place to get them from. There was a thirteenth company who were also commissioned to produce a watch, but when it was discovered that they were also making watches for the enemy, this commission was cancelled. The stylized M symbol under the makers mark indicates that the watch is the property of the Great British government. Im publishing this watch and, depending on feedback, I may make the other eleven. In dimmed mode, there is a large hand that shows the battery level.
