Chained Hands

Only the hour hand in this watch has its pivot in the usual place, in the center of the watch. The minute hand is attached partway down the hour hand, and the second hand is attached partway down the minute hand. The hands change size and rate of movement to accommodate their changing positions, and still point to the right places on the dial.
