The Swiss watchmaker teamed with nendo to create a classic timepiece inspired by the “Carrera,” one of TAG Heuer’s sportiest models. Instead of a complete overhaul, the “Carrera Time Machine,” as its named, retains the same face, case and armband of the previous iteration, but strikes an identity for itself.
The red clock hands now possess a style that brings to mind the phrase, “one of these things does not belong.” Yet the oddity works. The strangeness even extends itself to the packaging which resembles an old book, that when opened reveals a red bookmark and paper knife that picks up on the architecture of clock hands.
